The safety and well being of students and staff members is our top priority. In the case of inclement or threatening weather conditions, we will work with District 96 to make timely and thoughtful decisions that support our children, and the stability of the learning community while addressing weather, travel, safety and facilities. We will make every effort to communicate school closing decisions to you the evening before a closing, when possible. If conditions are changing, we will look to make decisions by 6:00 am the day of the closing. Decisions may include a late arrival, provided weather and road conditions are expected to improve.

If a weather emergency or other type of emergency requires the closing of any school, parents/guardians will receive a SchoolMessenger phone message and email. This cancellation notice will be posted to the St. Mary website, as well as our Facebook page.

School closing information related to weather issues will be broadcast over several Chicago radio and TV stations. Among the radio and TV stations that will be given this information are:
