Welcome to Troop 92! Mission Statement The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scout Oath On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Scout Law A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean & Reverent Our Charter Organization St. Paul VI Parish of Riverside, St. Mary Church and elementary school are the primary constituents of St. Paul VI Parish. Troop 92 and Pack 3092 are in the Pathway to Adventure Council. Meetings Troop 92 meets September thru the start of June. The meetings are scheduled for Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the Oak Room, which is in the basement below the church. Meetings typically last an hour and 15 minutes. Scouts should bring their Handbook and wear their field uniform shirt to these meetings. Beyond Meetings Activities outside of meetings include weekend camping, outings and service work. The Troop aims to hold one or more events per month. Summer Camp Scouts attend summer camp as a Troop for one week every summer. Parental Involvement Parents are one of the treasures of our Troop. Our boys benefit from interacting with a variety of adults. Come share your skills and experience with your son and his fellow Scouts. You will get to take part in the formation of the next generation of men, gain some insights and have fun! Youth Protection The Boy Scouts of America requires all adults who interact with Scouts to take Youth Protection Training program. Every adult participating in any activities (meetings or outings) with Troop 92 Scouts must take this training. It is available online. |
